Small, nonfarm businesses in over three dozen Iowa counties are now eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans due to losses caused by the drought.
The Small Business Association aka SBA, has designated ten Iowa counties as primary counties, including Story and Polk counties. While counties neighboring those ten, including Marshall and Hardin counties are also eligible.
Loans up to two million dollars may be available to help meet expenses and financial obligations.
Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955. The deadline to apply is next May 10th.
