The color pink, police patch and Breast Cancer Awareness. Those are not usually three things you associate together, but they will be in Marshalltown during October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Marshalltown Police and the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge are joining with other police agencies across the country to sell a pink police patch. Marshalltown Police Officer Andrew Cole says 300 patches are available in a pink hue.
The patches will see for ten dollars, and with the material and work all supplied up front, the entire price will be donated to the Susan G. Komen of Greater Iowa organization. For more information, contact Officer Cole at Marshalltown Police.
