Marshalltown drew a first round bye in the four a state playoff “pods”, not brackets, released Saturday by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. AS a matter of fact, all but 8 teams drew byes. Marshalltown one of them and will head to Urbandale to take on the J-Hawks on the 23rd. This Friday night, Ames will host Jefferson as one of the four first round contests.
In 3a, Grinnell will host Newton Friday night;
in 2A South Tama entertains Oelwein and Iowa Falls-Alden takes on Hampton-Dumont CAL, while West Marshall received a bye;
In 1A, East Marshall goes to Panorama, South Hardin is at home versus Central Springs;
Class A, BCLUW is at Ogden, with Grundy Center getting a bye week;
in 8-player, COlo-NEsco is at HLV, GMG at Don Bosco, Meskwaki goes to AGWSR, and West Central plays at Gladbrook-Reinbeck.
