1,040 new COVID cases reported since midday yesterday for a new total of 102,906. 12 of those in Story County, eight each in Jasper and Hardin Counties. Marshall and Grundy Counties bring up the rear with only two new cases each. The positivity rate now 11.7 percent.

Eight new deaths, one of which was in Hardin County, lift the total toll to 1,505. Another record number of rona related hospitalizations in the state with 482 this morning, 107 of those in ICU.
