Kids in the Marshalltown Community School District will continue to have the option to get free meals to children 18 through the end of June  2021. Funding is being provided by an extension in United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funding.

This means FREE school breakfast and lunch meals will continue to be served to all children 18 years old and younger.

Marshalltown High School, Miller Middle School, and Lenihan Intermediate School will continue to operate as open meal sites where a child – or their parent, guardian, or responsible older sibling – can pick up meals from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. On Fridays, children will receive daily breakfast and lunch as well as meals for the weekend.
