The three interested candidates in being the next First Ward Representative on the Marshalltown City Council, Shari Coughenour, Mike Ladehoff and Raymond Starks were interviewed for the position last night. However, with two Councilors absent, the Council, after prolonged discussion, tabled any appointment until next Monday’s Council meeting. The situation, nor the temporary solution, sat well with Councillor Gabe Isom, who found the evening to be “very frustrating”.

Two Council members, Mike Gowdy and Gary Thompson, shared there seemed to be a move in the First Ward to get enough signatures to call for a special election. So far, no petitions have been filed with the City.
