Just in time for Christmas, folks in the community have stepped up and lifted the Marshalltown Salvation Army to its Red Kettle Campaign goal of $72,100. After captain Pam Kasten issued a challenge to get it done this week, the Kettles have been moved back to the Salvation Army and the bells retired until next year.
However, there is still some work to be done on the Army’s overall holiday goal, which is 80 percent on the way to $183,703.
If you would like to help with that goal, you may mail your contribution to PO Box 482 in Marshalltown.
