THERE WERE NO FATALITIES REPORTED IN IOWA DUE TO COVID 19 OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS.  TO DATE, 3,745 PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM THE VIRUS.

A WINTER STORM WARNING GOES INTO EFFECT AT NINE AM TUESDAY, AND UP TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW ARE FORECAST IN CENTRAL IOWA.  THE CITY OF AMES HAS ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL PUT ITS SNOW ORDINANCE INTO EFFECT AT NOON TUESDAY.

71-YEAR OLD GARY PILLMAN IS NOW SCHEDULED TO GO ON TRIAL IN JUNE OF NEXT YEAR ON FIRST DEGREE MURDER CHARGES.  HE WAS ARRESTED IN NOVEMBER 2019 IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE OUTSIDE THEIR HOME IN ZEARING.
