THE DAILY REPORT ON COVID-19 IN MARSHALL COUNTY HAS SIX NEW CASES, AND 354 ACTIVE CASES.  THERE WERE AGAIN NO FATALITIES FROM THE VIRUS IN THE PAST 24 HOURS.

THE MARSHALLTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT IS HOPING TO LET BIDS ON TWO HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING PROJECTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE, ONE FOR MARSHALLTOWN HIGH SCHOOL AND THE OTHER FOR ANSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.  IF THE BID PROCESS IS SUCCESSFUL, IT’S HOPED BOTH PROJECTS COULD BEGIN THIS SUMMER.

A SERIES OF FEDERAL TAX BREAKS TO ASSIST IOWANS WHO SUFFERED DAMAGE FROM THE AUGUST DERECHO HAVE BEEN SIGNED INTO LAW BY PRESIDENT TRUMP.  THE LEGISLATION WAS SPONSORED BY IOWA SENATOR JONI ERNST.
