The Iowa Natural Resources Commission says the sale of hunting and fishing licenses is setting records. The Conservation and Recreation Administrator for the D-N-R, Pete Hildreth, says there were 439-thousand-760 fishing licenses sold in 2020, over 83 thousand more than in 2019
Hildreth adds the confinement of the pandemic is the key factor in the records.
He says they are still figuring how the increase in license sales will impact their budget.
