It looks like Central and Eastern Iowa are in the midst of the target for this weekend’s blast from Mother Nature.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 9 tomorrow morning for Marshall and Hardin Counties and areas to the east. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the rest of our area.
This storm is expected to add ice to 2 to 5 inches of snow…and up to a quarter-inch of ice is possible along and north of Highway 30 as the day continues. Travel will be impacted and with winds gusting up near 25 miles an hour, there may be issues with covered tree limbs and power lines.
Keep it here for the latest updates and, as always, weather-related announcements are available at any time on our website.
