Marshall County Sheriff Steve Hoffman announced that he has accepted a position as one of four Chiefs in the Polk County Sheriff’s department.

Hoffman said in his announcement that “…Opportunity has knocked and I am taking a leap of faith before it disappears…”.

Hoffman added he will be working with the leadership team in the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office to make the transition. He concluded by asking the community to be understanding of the “…depth and opportunity presented by this bittersweet and unforseen development…”
