The Northern Iowa Panthers were stopped last night, not be Drake, but by COVID-19 protocol errors by the Missouri Valley Conference.

UNI had been slated to take on the Bulldogs. The program followed conference COVID testing directions Thursday night, but when the results came back, the Conference guidelines were met, but not those of the City of St. Louis, where the tourney is held. SO, over two hours after the scheduled start of the game, it was postponed, with Drake advancing to today’s semi-finals versus Missouri State

The Valley admitted it was to blame for the situation, saying the UNI program had followed the conference rules, but the conference did not see if those matched the City’s regulations.
