Even with a mask on, amazement showed on the face of Governor Kim Reynolds when she entered the new newly remodeled gymnasium at the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum in Marshalltown yesterday (Thursday). The Governor was in town to receive an update on the rebuilding projects in the wake of a tornado, derecho and COVID over the past 32 months. Still, Reynolds says the results so far in Marshalltown were not surprising to her.
Reynolds was also impressed that the Coliseum rebuild was done without any state funds. Insurance money and contributions of 1.3 million dollars paid for the 4.5 million dollar renovation.
