Ashley Joens poured in 33 points as the Iowa State women held off Michigan State 79-75 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

Jones was four of seven from three point range and her 33 points set an ISU NCAA Tournament record.

The Cyclones improve to 17-10 and advance to the second round to play second seeded Texas A@M.
