A place for kids of all ages to be more active. That’s the concept behind a new venture opening soon in Marshalltown called Play-It. The former Hy-Vee location at Meadowlane Mall is undergoing a transformation into a 30-thousand square foot multi-sports complex, according to owner Kristine Drinovsky.

Drinovsky adds there will be pickleball courts, also classes for sports wellness and even some classes for the older set like Tai-Chi. A native of rural LeGrand, Drinovsky says her return to the area is in part, to give back to the community that taught her so much. A projected opening in May is in the works for Play-It.
