The Marshalltown Boys track team finished a very close third, two points behind team champ Johnston at the Chuck Silvey Invite at Urbandale yesterday.
The Cats captured first in the 800 spring relay, Dwight Joar took the 110-meter hurdles, with Deonte Dean winning the 200-meter dash, while Aidan Devolder won the shot put.
The Bobcat girls took 3rd at the Waterloo West Wahawk Invite. Bobcat finishers placed second in 6 separate events.
GIRL’S TRACK
Bondurant-Farrar won the East Marshall Girls Invite, Nevada was 3rd, Newton 5th, South Tama 6th, BCLUW 7th, East Marshall 10th and Meskwaki 11th.
Dike-New Hartford won its own girl’s invite. Iowa Falls-Alden was 4th, Grundy Center 6th AGWSR 9th, West Marshall 12th, South Harding 15th.
BOY’S TRACK
Grundy Center took the team title at the Hudson Relays. South Hardin was 5th, South Tama 6th, West Marshall 10ths, AGWSR 13th, GMG 17th.
