With the spring-type weather, that means a lot of plants, critters and birds are coming back to life…but flamingoes? In Marshall County? Yes, you may wake up one morning and find about a dozen plastic flamingoes in your yard They are all part of a fundraising effort by the GMG Booster Club.

Deb Cornwell says the Flamingo Flocking began last fall…and has picked up this Spring.

So, if these pretty in pink birds show up in your yard, what do you do? A sign and form tells you for a 20 buck donation, they will be picked up…30 dollars will get them picked up and placed in someone else’s yard…and 40 bucks will not only have them gone and in another yard, but ensures they won’t magically reappear in your yard. The GMG Booster Club is hoping to raise, between the fall and spring, about three thousand dollars.
