A new crop will be growing in what used to be the farm fields southeast of Wal-Mart in Marshalltown. McFarland Clinic broke ground for its 18-million dollar new facility yesterday. Construction of the facility is expected to begin next week. Dr. Allison Wilson, medical director for McFarland in Marshalltown, says the new clinic has been designed to adapt to changes in technology. as well as patient needs.

Joel Greer said the groundbreaking was something he could barely envision when he was elected Mayor.

The 60-thousand square foot, three-level clinic is expected to be ready to see its first patients in the fall of 2022.
