It was quite the day of high school track at the Drake relays yesterday, winners were crowned and records were set.

Waukee’s Mackenzie Carney pulled off a rare triple at the Drake Relays by winning the girls’ 400-meter hurdles. She also won the 100-meter hurdles and was part of Waukee’s winning shuttle hurdle relay team.

Marshalltown’s Deonte Dean finished 6^th in the 100-meter dash, while the Bobcat boys 4 x 100 relay team took a 17^th place finish after being seeded 35^th.
