After nearly three years, the murder trial of Cristhian Bahena Rivera is slated to begin Monday in Scott County. Citing COVID-19, the judge in the case, Joel Yates, says the public and the media will not be allowed in the courtroom, but remote cameras may be used to show the proceedings.

Rivera is accused of murdering Mollie Tibbetts of Brooklyn in July 2018.
