The defense began calling its witnesses yesterday in the murder trial of Christian Bahena Rivera, accused of the murder of Mollie Tibbetts nearly three years ago.   Iris Gamboa — Rivera’s former girlfriend and the mother of his child –was among the initial witnesses. Defense attorney Jennifer Frese asked if Bahena River had anger problems. The response was “no”.

It is a possibility that the trial may go to the jury yet this week.
