The Marshall County Board of Supervisors would like to get together with the Marshalltown City Council…in order to work better together. Supervisor Chair Dave Thompson says it’s not a new idea, as quarterly meetings between the two entities used to happen. He says it’s not that the County and the City don’t work together, citing 38 agreements between the two boards.

Thompson says he has not had any formal discussions with City Staff, but has talked with a councilor or two about the concept. He adds the other two County Supervisors feel restoring quarterly meetings with the city is a good idea as well.
