A Marshalltown man is in jail after trying to turn some grave monument bases and a headstone marker into cash. Larry Kunc, Jr showed up at Gervich and Sons with the items on Wednesday. Employees contact police, who found out the headstone plaque belonged at Rose Hill Cemetary. That marker is valued at over $8,000. Police are also trying to determine where the vases came from. They know where Kunc is, in jail, charged with 2nd degree theft and criminal mischief.
