The housing market continues to sizzle. That’s according to a report on May sales from the Iowa Association of Realtors.  Jen Burkamper of Ames is the group’s president.

She notes buyers are getting into bidding wars and having to pay more for homes. Burkemper says with low interest rates, that is not a concern for some buyers.

The median price for a home was 199-thousand this May– compared to 184-thousand dollars one year ago.
