Conditions have eased since Friday’s Air Quality Alert across the state. National Weather Service meteorologist, Rod Donovan, says the airflow also brings in some cooler air, and it is a pattern that is going to stick around a bit.

The Iowa D-N-R keeps track of the air quality and you can find out more on their webpage at iowadnr.gov. As of Saturday morning, the Air Quality Index was rated as moderate.
