On behalf of the Marshalltown Police Department, Chief Mike Tupper presented the PD’s annual report to the Marshalltown City Council last week. While the pandemic kept incidents lower than normal, Captain Brian Batterson noted that like, everywhere else, drugs are still a problem, with meth leading the way. However, the department is beginning to see some issues with opioid abuse.
