Marshalltown officially reporting six-tenths of an inch of rain, Ames received just nine-hundredths, while Waterloo piled up 1.8 inches. Oelwein reported 100 mph winds at its airport. Your mileage, as they say, may vary.
By the way, Marshalltown has received 11.7 inches of rain year to date. That’s nearly 12 inches below normal.
