Marshalltown Schools reported the first week of school ended with 23 cases of COVID-19 confirmed. While the numbers concern Marshall County Public Health Nurse Pat Thompson says it’s not really unexpected. She says when it comes to whether to mask up or not, a well-informed decision may be the best tool.

While the COVID debate rages on, Thompson notes that the shots for the upcoming flu season are now available, adding you should get those shots, because you don’t need the flu on top of the rona.
