Just a month into the school year and the juggling of staff in the Marshalltown School District is already taking its toll. Superintendent Dr. Theron Schutte says the entire staff is already tired…and the prospect for additional staff aren’t promising.
Schutte says there was an instance a couple of weeks ago where classes nearly had to be cancelled due to a lack of staff and students in the buildings. If that were to happen, it would be treated as a snow day and be tacked on to the school calendar at the end of the year.
