Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the April death of a toddler in Ames.
Danielle Obrecht of Ames and Trevin Nicholson of Centennial Colorado have been charged in the death of the child, who was air-lifted to a Des Moines hospital on April 24th and died the following day.
Nicholson is charged with first-degree murder and child endangerment causing death and is awaiting extradition from Colorado. Obrecht is in the Story County Jail on charges of child endangerment causing death.
No information has been released on the cause of the death of the toddler.
