All 99 counties saw their unemployment rates go down during the month of September, according to Iowa Workforce Development. Marshall County’s rate fell a full percent to 3 point 9, while the unemployment rate in Tama county feel one point 4 percent to 2.7. Story County continues to have the lowest rate in our Central Iowa area at 2 point 1 percent.
The rate in Marshalltown also fell one full percent to 4 point 7. Burlington continues to have the highest unemployment among cities at 5 point 7 percent.
