One man is dead after a shooting around midnight Friday night at the Elks Lodge on Douglas Avenue in Ames.

Ames Police say the initial investigation reveals multiple shots may have been fired by several groups of people attending an event at the Elks Lodge. The name of the 23-year old who died was not initially released. The investigation into the incident continues.
