A Marshalltown man died and a passenger was injured in a single-car accident south of Bondurant Saturday night.

the Polk County Sheriff’s Office says Joel Alvarez lost control on Hubbell road, overcorrected and went into a ditch where the vehicle rolled several times. Alvarez was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. A passenger was taken to a Des Moines hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
