THE MARSHALL COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH WILL CONTINUE TO ADDRESS ISSUES INVOLVING THE CURRENT COVID-19 PANDEMIC DURING THE YEAR AHEAD.
THE BOARD FURTHER ADDRESSED THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT’S PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE PLAN FOR THE VIRUS DURING ITS FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR ON TUESDAY.
ACCORDING TO COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTOR PAT THOMPSON, LOCAL OFFICIALS CONTINUE TO FACE CHALLENGING TIMES AS COVID NUMBERS START TO SPIKE.
MARSHALL COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR KIM ELDER INFORMED THE BOARD THAT LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES ARE NOW STARTING TO RUN LOW ON COVID-19 TESTING KITS. ELDER NOTED THAT SHE DELIVERED MORE KITS TO AREA FACILITIES LAST WEEK IN AN EFFORT TO BETTER KEEP UP WITH THE ONGOING DEMAND. ELDER SAID SHE IS ALSO HEARING FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE SEEKING TESTING KITS AND GUIDANCE.
