Work crews from the Marshalltown Water Works Department were kept busy over the past weekend due to a water main break which occurred along West Main Street.

Local utility crews spent the entire weekend outdoors with the final repairs being completed late Sunday evening.

Marshalltown Water Works General Manager Sherry Lovall says a boil water advisory has been issued for those affected until further notice.

According to Lovall, it took a considerable amount of time for work crews to complete all of the needed repairs so residential water service could again be restored to normal capacity.
