The Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday, February 7th.

A representative from North Risk Partners/Bernie Lowe and Associates met with the board to discuss the county employee health plan and to provide an update on the plan for the first two quarters of the fiscal year 2022.

The board approved the hiring of Ashley Gritsch as a Dispatcher/Jailer for the county, effective February 14th, at a starting pay rate of $17.93 per hour.

A five-year lease agreement was approved by the county board with Premier Office Equipment for the use of printers in the County Treasurer’s Office.

The board approved setting a date of February 28th for a public hearing on the county’s proposed 2023 fiscal year budget.

The board also accepted, with regret, the resignation of Chris Pankow as County Park Technician, effective February 18th.
