“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set to premiere on Disney+ this May. The live-action “Star Wars” series, starring Ewan McGregor, will debut May 25. May 25 is also the 45th anniversary of the release of “Star Wars: A New Hope.”
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi saw the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker (who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader).
McGregor reprises his role as Obi-Wan alongside Hayden Christensen, who again portrays Anakin Skywalker. The series also stars Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
