Marshalltown Community College Athletic Director, John Kriebs, has recently announced the addition of E-Sports and Women’s Soccer and the hiring of head coaches for both athletic programs.
MCC welcomes Allie Asmundson as the Interim Head Women’s Soccer Coach and Andrew Goforth as the Interim Head E-Sports Coach. Both sports programs will be launched in the fall of 2022.
Osmundson brings with her coaching experience from the NCAA Division I, NJCAA, High School and Club Level. She currently serves as an assistant girls soccer coach at Marshalltown High School. Before her return to MCC, Osmundson served as a volunteer assistant women’s soccer coach at the University of Illinois.
Goforth is a life-long student of gaming. Ever since his dad took him to the Midwestern Pokemon Tournament at the age of nine, he has been obsessed with playing both video games and CCG’s at a competitive level.
Anyone who may have an interest in being a part of the MCC E-Sports or Women’s Soccer teams is asked to call (641) 752-7106 for more information or to schedule a campus visit.
