The Marshalltown Fire Department was called to a report of a structure fire early Wednesday morning on the city’s north side.

At approximately 6 a.m., local fire crews were dispatched to a home located at 111 Webster Street.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they learned that the occupants of the home were already outside and away from danger.

At that point, fire crews discovered flames along the outside the rear of the home, which were quickly extinguished.

The fire itself was contained to the outer area of the home with no interior damage being reported.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
