On Tuesday, the Marshall County Board of Supervisors heard from County Treasurer Jarrett Heil, who addressed concerns with the pay grade scale that is used for employees in his department, compared to other county departments.
According to Heil, there is a 13 percent wage gap between positions of the same grade in the treasurer’s office and other county departments.
Heil also noted that he recently lost an employee from the department because the individual was able to din another position outside the office that paid significantly more than what they were currently receiving.
