Retail gasoline prices in Iowa were up 8 cents this week, according to a report released Wednesday by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
As of Wednesday, March 2nd, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.43 across Iowa, according to Triple-A.
Prices rose 8 cents from last week’s price and were 70 cents higher than a year ago at this same time.
The national average price on Wednesday was $3.66, up 12 cents from last week’s price.
The current Iowa diesel price is 22 cents less than the national average of $4.04.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
