The Iowa Department of Agriculture has released its weekly fuel report for the week of Mar. 3 – 9, 2022.
As of Wednesday, Mar. 9th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.89 across Iowa, according to Triple-A.
Prices rose 46 cents from last week’s price and were $1.12 higher than one year ago.
The national average on Wednesday was $4.25, up 57 cents from last week’s price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 75 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.57.
One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.05 in Iowa.
The current Iowa diesel price is 31 cents less than the national average of $4.88.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
