State Representative Dean Fisher, a Republican from Montour, recently spoke with KFJB Radio about some of the latest developments that are taking place during the current Iowa Legislative session.

Fisher says a measure, known as the “Protecting Women’s Sports Bill,” which is designed to limit girl’s/women’s sports programs to female athletes only, was recently passed by legislators.

According to Fisher, child care issues have also been on the forefront lately.

He says a couple of measures relating to child care were passed recently by the Iowa legislature, as well.

Fisher represents Iowa House District 72, which includes Tama County, as well as western, central, south central, and southeastern areas of Marshall County.
