Members of the Hubbard City Council this week took steps designed to help support the final completion of a new swimming pool in the community.
A pool committee has been established, which is working to help finance the pool project.
At this week’s meeting, the city council took action on the city’s first-ever general obligation bond to cover the remaining costs involved outside of revenues generated by the pool committee.
With no written or oral comments received at a public hearing at Monday’s council meeting, the council moved forward by passing a resolution allowing the city to issue general obligation urban renewal bonds not to exceed $1.75 million dollars.
