The Marshalltown High School I-Jag students will be hosting a seed drive event to benefit Ukrainian families in need called “Seeds for Ukraine.”
Donations may be dropped off at the Alpine Laundromat at 808 South 6th Street in Marshalltown from March 24th through the 31st.
On April 1st, all donations will be shipped to the Ukraine.
Potential seed items that are being collected include tomatoes, carrots, leafy greens, broccoli, peppers, squash, peas, green beans, cucumber, cauliflower, and turnips.
Again, “Seeds for Ukraine” will begin on Thursday, March 24th. A box for seeds will be placed inside the Alpine Laundromat in Marshalltown sometime after 2 p.m. that day.
A careful reminder, the laundromat does close at 7 p.m. each evening.
