A former employee at the Tama County Jail is being investigated by state authorities for engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation began an investigation in late January after a complaint was made against a former employee who allegedly engaged in in appropriate sexual behavior with an inmate.
The investigation was recently completed and the matter is now being further reviewed by the Iowa Attorney General’s Office.
As of now, no charges have been filed relating to the initial investigation.
Due to the nature of the investigation, no further information is being released at this time.
