Officials at the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA have announced that maintenance work is continuing in the rec pool area.

The current temperature of the rec pool is cooler than normal.  As a result, classes have been moved to the lap pool, where the water temperature is currently at 84 degrees.  An exception will be the vortex class, which will meet in the rec pool.

Technicians are installing a new control system this week which is affecting the pool temperature.

The Y apologizes for any inconvenience.

Effective today, March 24th, the men’s sauna will be closed until noon so staff can install new heating elements.
