A central Iowa wrestling coach is continuing to recover after being struck by a car while out jogging in a residential neighborhood in southern California last month.
Twenty-seven-year-old Joe Amadeo was on aa morning jog in Palm Springs, California on March 16th while visiting his parents when he was hot by a car.
Amadeo, who serves as the head wrestling coach as Baxter High School in central Iowa, was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
When looking back a the accident, Amadeo says he remembers looking at his watch after clocking a couple of miles and the next thing he knew he was waking up in a hospital.
Amadeo faces a long road to recovery, but right now, he says he’s just happy to be alive.
