Marshalltown Community College Freshman Catcher Paige Westlin has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference of the Week for the week of April 4-10.

Westlin burst onto the scene last week after an outstanding performance at the plate.

Stepping to the plate 27 times in eight games, Westlin reached base 17 times, 6 of them for hits and an average of .593.

In two games against Iowa Central, she went 5 for 7 with two home runs and three RBI’s. Westlin followed that up hitting 8 for 12 with three home runs, three doubles, and eight RBI’s i na four game series against Iowa Western.. Last week she more than doubled her season hit total.
